Projects: Yay! its Gone! |

Well it wasn't exactly fixed completely - still had its share of problems - but they aren't my problems to worry about anymore. On Saturday Nic and I loaded the J-5 on a Trailer, and took it home. I fixed one wheel, and the track on one side - installed a choke cable and fuel filters - now get it out of here I have my own stuff to work on :)

Projects: And the Trailer has Tail lights that should last! |

After making up a set of tail lights for my trailer - and easily ripping them off by accident this winter, I figured it was time to get something rugged built. While talking to a co-worker he said he could make me up something that would be damn hard to break - so I told him to go for it.
|
What I ended up with was 2 Tractor-Trailer lights mounted in some round pipe. I made up some guards to go on either side to help support the light and act like a guard. The deck on the trailer tilts down so now everything should be able to support the weight of whatever I am putting on the trailer.

Projects: It Lives again |

Well its been a while for an update - but earlier in the month I finally got a Rim for the J-5, got the tire mounted on it, then my father and I faught with fixing the track and mounting it on the J-5 for a couple afternoons until we finally got it on. I put the cleats back on the track and today I fired it up and took it |
for a bit of a drive. I really should have mounted the dust caps on the wheels again first though....
